The Next Chapter
30 September – 4 October 2026
Tecate, Baja California, Mexico
The life you’ve built matters. So does the life still ahead.
Tecate sits in the hills of Baja California, directly on the United States border and about an hour east of San Diego. It is the quiet one of the border towns, a real Mexican town built around a shaded central plaza, not a resort strip and not a nightlife destination.
The setting is high desert and oak country: dry, warm days, cool evenings, and a lot of open sky. Late September and early October are among the better weeks of the year for it.
The practical advantage is how easy it is to reach. For most guests flying from the United States or Canada this is a short domestic-feeling trip rather than a long haul into the interior of Mexico.

Getting to Tecate
Fly into San Diego International (SAN). It is the closest major airport and the simplest route for most guests. Tecate is roughly an hour east by road from there.
Tijuana International (TIJ) is also close, and the Cross Border Xpress bridge connects it directly to a terminal on the San Diego side, which is worth knowing if you are connecting from within Mexico.
Once your flights are booked, send us the details and we will talk you through the transfer and the border crossing on your pre-retreat call. You do not need to organise a car.
Bring your passport. You are crossing an international border in both directions, so it needs to be valid and with you, not left in a bag at the hotel. Most travellers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the EU do not need a visa for a stay of this length, but entry rules change and remain your responsibility to check.
